Bituminous sound isolation membrane “StopSound M”

  • Description

Description

Bituminous polymeric membrane with polyester is used as a damping hydro and sound isolation layer in the floating floors’ construction.

Used in:

  • clean and levelled floors.

Composition:

  • bitumen-polymer coat;
  • polyester layer;
  • protecting film.

“StopSound M” consists of two layers: bitumen polymer rolling and sound vibration damping base, made from polyester. It’s is usually used when mounting the “floating floor”, as an absorbent hydro isolation and soundproof material.

On top of “StopSound M” is layered 4 cm of sand concrete. It created dense, water resistant layer. In some cases, this material is used in roof, ceiling, walls and partitions isolation.

Although thin (4.5 mm), “StopSound M” has a considerable weight, hence can be an effective protection from unwanted noise or vibration. The combination of different density and elastic layers can improve every range frequency isolation and increase sound isolation system effectiveness. The universality of the material makes it a popular and economical choice in every areas of construction.
