Sound isolating material “Tecsound” 70, 50, 35

“Tecsound” is known worldwide for its great sound isolating qualities and very reasonable prices. It comes in three levels of layer’s thickness, depending on the needs. The material is used for floor, ceiling, wall and partition installation in a variety types of rpemises that might require good sound isolation. The sound proof material is extremely thin, elastic and has a specifically big weight and polymers. Aragonite is a natural calcium carbonate polymorph and the main component of limestone and marble. Such composition gives “Tecsound” 70 elasticity, high density of the surface (6,9 kg / m²) and thickness of only 4mm. For this reason, feedback about the the sound isolator “Tecsound” is always positive.

Description

“Tecsound” sound isolating material can be used in any building, framed and unframed structures. It is easily installed on different surfaces and it improves the sound isolation quality of various materials, such as gypsum plasterboard, OSB, plywood and other. “Tescosound” material is designed to use on flat concrete floors (when they are ready for parquet, laminate or linoleum thrashing), under any type of floor layer on a clean and smooth surface, for the roof and partitions between the floors, ceilings and the sound protection of partitions, and elsewhere. “Tescosound” can be installed on every type of surfaces (plaster, metal, plastic an other). It is important that the surface is even, clean and dry. Before the instalment – make sure to clean the area, because the construction trash can damage the surface. If installing the material on old plaster – it is highly recommended to renew it beforehand.
“Tecsound” must be kept in dry, secure place, not higher than in 35 °C temperature.

Structure

  • Natural mineral aragonite;
  • Polymers, not containing any bitumen or any harmful components;
  • Layer of protective non-woven fabric.

Use for walls
“Tecsound” material is glued on the plasterboard in horizontal plates. Mounting is done on the side where the “Tecsound” material is attached. If “Tecsound” is mounted in between the two plasterboards or in the frame systems, make sure to attach the profile vibration suppressing tape beforehand.

Use for floors
When the “Tecsound” material is used for the floor sound isolation on a smooth concrete surface – lay it with a 5cm allowance. Glue the links with melted adhesive or hot air. Any other way can cause glue surface disturbance and small halls, which negatively affects “Tecsound” soundproof qualities. Using the material under the laminate or parquet, make sure to align it with precision, so there would be no rifts. It is recommended to fill the appeared rifts with Sonetic acoustic fixer, or secure it with a special tape.

Other Use
Inner partitions of plasterboards.
Framed an unframed wall structures.
Sound isolation for the concrete floor: after the smoothing or before layering the top floor coat (laminate, parquet etc.).
Metal constructions (roofing).
Sound isolation for the metal construction element noises.
Sound isolation in industrial premises (cabins, workshops, metal warehouses).
Metal doors sound isolation.
Professional acoustic niches and boxes.

“Tecsound” is certified according to European standards, is safe for the humans and environment. “Tecsound” can be used not only in the living premises, but also in the childcare centres, where the security of used materials is highly appreciated. “Tecsound” ensures top quality sound isolation.

Recommendations for use

All types of surfaces (plaster, metal, plastic) are suitable for mounting Teksaund material. The surface must be flat, smooth, clean and dry, must be cleaned of all elements that could damage the coating. If the plaster cover is old, it is advisable to replace it. The material must be stored in a dry place protected from possible damage at a temperature not exceeding 35 ° C.

Walls

When creating frame systems on the walls, Teksaund membrane is glued to a drywall sheet (GCR) in the horizontal plane. Next, the installation is made to the frame by the side of the GCR, on which Teksaund is fixed. If the Teksaund membrane is provided between the two sheets of gypsum board and gypsum plasterboard in a frame system, then before installation it is required to glue the profile with a vibration-damping tape.

Floor

If the Teksaund membrane is used for sound insulation of the floor under the screed, it should be laid with an overlap of 5 cm. The joints should be glued together with glue or hot air. Otherwise, even small holes can reduce the insulating quality of the material. When laying under the laminate or parquet, the material is placed joint at the joint, so that there are no gaps. It is recommended to fill the seams with Sonetic acoustic sealant or fasten with reinforced adhesive tape.

Application

• Plasterboard interior partitions • Erected frame and frameless wall structures • Soundproofing the floor under a screed, soundproofing a clean floor • Metal structures (decking, roofing) • Damping elements of metal structures (profile guides, channels, direct suspensions) • Soundproofing industrial and production rooms (cabins , workshops, metal hangars) • Sound insulation of metal doors • Niches and boxes for professional acoustic equipment
